Spring has finally come to Finland and the sunshine is back 🌞

ヘルシンキ大聖堂前にある小さな映画館Kino Engelで、カンヌ国際映画祭で脚本賞を受賞した日本映画「怪物」を観てきました🍿

フィンランド語タイトルは「Vaarallinen Leikki（危険なあそび）」。

わたしたちは普段無意識のうちに、一部の見聞きした情報、それも真偽すら保証されないもので物事を判断し、世界を自分が見たいものに形作っているのだなと、そして誰の中にも怪物は住んでいるのだなと気づかされ、心揺さぶられる映画でした。

時や視点を変えながら何層にも織りなし、そういった事実を観客の心に突き刺してくる作りが新鮮で、改めて自分の普段の行いについて考えさせられました。

どんな人も声を大にして幸せを叫べるような、そんな世の中にするために、社会やわたしたち大人の中に気付かぬうちに染みついた怪物を消し去り、変わっていかなくてはいけませんね。

特にミニシアター系の映画がすきで日本ではよく映画館に通ってましたが、フィンランドでは字幕問題などがあり足が遠のいていたので、久々にあの特別な感覚を思い出すことができ、お声がけくださった島塚絵里さん(@erishimatsuka )に感謝です。

みなさんは最近、心揺さぶられる映画に出逢いましたか？

I went to see the Japanese movie that won the screenplay award at the Cannes Film Festival "Monster" at the small movie theater Kino Engel located in front of the Helsinki Cathedral.

The Finnish title is “Vaarallinen Leikki” which means “Dangerous Play” in English.

Unconsciously, we judge things based on some of the information we see or hear, which is not even guaranteed to be true or false, and shape the world into what we want to see. It made me realize that we all have monsters living inside of us.

It was mindblowing to see how the story was woven into layers while changing times and viewpoints, and how it stabs our hearts with such facts, and it made me think about how I act daily.

In order to create a world where anyone can shout their happiness out loud, we need to eliminate the monsters that have become ingrained in society and in us adults without even realizing it, and change.

I especially like mini-theatre type of movies and used to go to see movies a lot when I was in Japan, but now in Finland I barely do because of subtitles problems. So this time I was able to experience that special feeling for the first time in a long time, I appreciate Eri (@erishimatsuka ) for giving me this opportunity.

It’s such a wonderful thing to create items and then expand your circle through them.

ストーリーズでもご紹介していたMito

ストーリーズでもご紹介していたMito x Helsinki Playgroundのコラボイベントが先日開催されました。

ヘルシンキで活動するHelsinki Playground (@helsinki.playground ) にとって日本初上陸となるポップアップイベントを、吉祥寺のMito (@mito_saloncafe )さんとのコラボで行いました。

仲良くしてもらっているHelsinki Playgroundのアダム (@adamtickle )から企画アイディアを聞いたのが確か去年の12月。

そこからグッズ制作やイベント詳細についてオンラインミーティングを重ね、微力ではありますが、縁の下で言語・文化面やちょっとしたアイディアなどのサポートという形で携わりました。

自分自身の力不足さに気付かされることもありましたが、このプロジェクトを通じて、本当に多くの学びと出会いがありました。

まだ見ぬお客さんの笑顔を想像しながら、みんなでひとつのゴールを目指して完走し、その充実感を分かち合うことがなによりの喜びですね。

当日現場に行けなかったことが悔やまれますが、いただいた写真を眺めて、そんな喜びを噛み締めています。

このイベントに興味を持ってくださった方、足を運んでくださった方、そしてこのプロジェクトを通じて関わってくださったすべての方々、本当にありがとうございました！

The collaboration event between Mito x Helsinki Playground, which was introduced in my previous stories, was held last weekend in Tokyo.

Helsinki Playground (@helsinki.playground ) held this pop-up event in Japan for their first time, in collaboration with Mito (@mito_saloncafe ) in Kichijoji.

I remember hearing about this idea from Adam (@adamtickle ) of Helsinki Playground in December last year.

Since then, I supported in terms of language, culture or some other stuff behind the scenes, the little help I can be.

Although there were many aspects where I lacked in ability, through this project, I learned a lot and met many of lovely people.

The greatest joy was sharing the same sense of fulfillment that comes from completing this journey together towards the same goal while imagining the smiles on the faces of the customers we have yet to meet.

I regret not being able to be there on the event day, but looking at the photos I received, I’m feeling so grateful to be part of this team.

Thank you very much to everyone who was interested in this event, visited, and got involved through this project!

今日ヘルシンキで出会ったわんちゃん。

チョコレート屋さんの床のタイルと毛色がマッチしていて本人(本犬？)もうれしかったのか、しっぽをフリフリしながら近寄ってきてくれました。

このお店は、わたしのとっておきのチョコレート屋さんで、今日は贈り物と、季節限定のラスキアイスプッラを買いました。

こんな奇跡のような美しいお天気の日には、街中の小さな出来事ひとつひとつを目に焼き付けたくなります。

A dog I met in Helsinki today.

The color of the dog’s coat matched the tiles on the floor of the chocolate shop, perhaps he/she was happy about it too, the dog came closer to me, wagging tail.

This is my favorite chocolate shop in Helsinki, today I bought some gifts and the seasonal Laskiaispulla.

On a day with such miraculously gourgeous weather like today, I feel like I don’t want to miss any little thing happening in this beautiful city.

自分からの、そしてお友達や夫からのクリスマスプレゼント。

毎年失敗しがちだったけれど、お友達からのアドバイスのおかげで初めておいしく作れたクリスマスポリッジ。

そんなしあわせなクリスマスを過ごせていることに感謝したくて、そばがお世話になったフィンランドの動物愛護団体(@petrescuefinland )に寄付をしました。

あとはそばとドッグパークに行ったり、お家でサウナに入ったり、毎年恒例のクリスマス映画を見たりしながらのんびり過ごします🎄

みなさんはどんなクリスマスを過ごしましたか？

Christmas gifts from myself, my friends and my husband.

I failed making good Christmas porridge every year, but this year I finally could make a good one thanks to my friend’s advice.

I wanted to do something to thank for having such a lovely Christmas, I decided to make a donation to Pet Rescue Finland (@petrescuefinland ) where gave us a chance to welcome Soba to our family.

I go to the dog park with Soba, take a sauna at home, and watch the Christmas movie as it’s our Christmas tradition.
